Planning Ahead

Autumn is practically here... Well, school's started, at least. And the hot weather has already lost it's edge. Which we all know means it's almost Halloween! Halloween is the second best holiday to decorate for (Christmas being the first). Unfortunately, last year my front porch looked like it had been the victim of an overzealous, colorblind kindergartner; green and purple string lights strung haphazardly from bushes to the roof, cotton cobweb threatening to catch any trick-or-treaters who dare brave our walkway, headstones peppering the yard with no discernible pattern, pumpkins and bats and corn stalks and fake blood... Oh my. That's what happens when you let 4 females with 4 very different ideas of what Halloween should look like have their say in the decorating. But no more! This year, I've taken over. I, no one else, will be in charge of spookifying our front yard, and I couldn't be happier. Just to prove how seriously I'm taking my role, I went ahead and made a small book out of the card stock cover of an unwanted college brochure I received in the mail this morning.

Idn't it purty? I'm going to use it to organize my grand scheme. Won't be long before I can start purchasing supplies... And I'd better get on it, only a month and a half before Halloween. ;)
